Empowering ocean industries with scalable, real-time monitoring solutions that deliver accurate, actionable insights.

bluesonde Story

bluesonde is on a mission to leverage the ocean for a better climate future. We believe the ocean holds the greatest potential to address many of our pressing challenges, but to harness this potential safely and effectively, we must make radical improvements in our ability to monitor it at scale.

Before founding bluesonde, our team spent decades tackling complex engineering problems across the space, energy, and medical sectors. With a shared commitment to combat climate change, we each found our way to Running Tide, where we led the engineering team for three years, developing custom ocean monitoring and lab test equipment critical to their mCDR system. Through multiple generations of monitoring products, we collaborated closely with science teams to ensure data accuracy for model integration and worked with operations teams to overcome the challenges of deploying hardware in marine environments.

This journey gave us a unique perspective on the engineering challenges that ocean-based carbon removal (mCDR) faces. bluesonde’s monitoring hardware is designed for reliability and adaptability in demanding conditions, bridging the gap for scalable ocean monitoring. Our technology empowers researchers and industries to collect the critical data needed for mCDR and a wide range of ocean applications.

Looking ahead, we envision bluesonde as a leader in scalable monitoring technology for climate-focused ocean solutions and beyond, advancing the tools that allow industries to engage with the ocean responsibly and sustainably. By equipping organizations with the data they need to make informed decisions, bluesonde is not only enabling sustainable ocean operations but also contributing to a healthier planet.
